The Rainbow According to Plants-RedPosted by Paul Ricciardi (Rock Hill, United States) on 28 January 2007 in Plant & Nature. So, it's been a bit since I've posted, been busy with actually having a social life for once. Which has been good, meeting lots of new people. In any event, here starts the new series, it's a rainbow of macro shots taken of various plants. I'll post one shot of each of the colours of the rainbow (ROYGBIV) over the next six days (I skipped Indigo) and then finish it up with all the shots put together. I'm trying to not do your typical macro shot where you just find a pretty flower, put a macro lens on, hit the autofocus and BAM you've got a macro shot. These are meant to be a bit different from the standard close up of a flower, I'm trying macros of other plants and parts of these plants that aren't normally shot. I'm also trying some "dramatic" (read slightly failed) lighting. So with that said-here's red.
