Reaching (III of III)

Final Reaching and end of the Pale Man series. I've made it purposefully vague, so make of it what you will.
Red Man Stops.
Third Ritual begins.
You are left alone, Pale Man's arms shudder and cease.
37th Red Queen shrieks.
Rebirth.

excellent trio of shots, paul ... i want to read it as a kind of hatching, a sense of energy growing and pushing outwards but there is at the same time an unsettling and desperate sort of energy here like something at the other end of life clinging not to be lost, but i guess they neednt be mutually exclusive .. great work, in any case

Do you do poetry slams? If you don't, you probably should. My nephew is really into them. He's a Latin Major (I think he's on scholarship for Latin instruction, not completely sure) but, he is a poet/writer.

You mentioned college, what will you be studying if you don't mind my asking?

Fascinating photos by the way.

@Laurie: No, I don't, as of now my poetry goes to four places:
1-the photoblog
2-a gal named rose
3-my personal archives (ie that's where the good stuff is)
4-the rubbish bin.

So, with the exception of here on the blog, most of it never sees light of day. Although the connecticut poet's society is having a competition and I convinced myself to enter.

As to college, I'll major in photography (imagine that) and probably minor in either Literature/Writing or French.

Im commenting on this shot but refrering to the series as a whole here Paul, to me it (the series) is most disturbing and thats a reaction which I commend you for invoking. I'm as prone as any, to produce what with hindsight, I often look back on as 'graphics'. Sometimes I enjoy the aesthetics of my work but feel when inspected closely theyr'e purely that. Im not particularly sorry about it, but at times I wish I had the time/energy, and imagination to conjure up work such as this. I'm well aware that we are ploughing two very different furrows and don't get me wrong, I'm not down about my work...it gives me satisfaction, and it gives me a reason to actually go to work in the morning, as most of my shots are taken either during my commute, during my lunch break (talk about running around like a headless chicken with a camera) or in the brief moments I can snatch here and there. It's just that when I see stuff like this I begin to think of the possibilities a blog holds. You're carrying the torch buddy.
