Picnic with Annie V

Posted by Paul Ricciardi (Rock Hill, United States) on 28 December 2006 in People & Portrait.

This is the fifth one in the series, it isn't meant entirely as a portrait of Annie as it is a portrait of the afternoon, the weather, and just the general mood considering that I was leaving. Conversation that day could be, I think, expressed very nicely by the way she's holding the leaf. You may not be able to tell but she was looking down at it thinking. There's a lot of backstory behind each of these photos and I hope that the images and my paragraph or two help to convey the emotions and storylines developed that day.

On a side note, my camera collection is expanding yet again, I came into the possesion of a derivative of the Polaroid SX-70, I've tried to find information about it only but have turned up dry. All I know is that I've got the camera, two packs of film, and the instruction manual which is enough for me.

Tomorrow will probably be the end of the Annie series, I haven't decided if I want to do two more or just one more.
