Triple Exposure I
Posted by Paul Ricciardi (Rock Hill, United States) on 7 December 2006 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.
A triple exposure on 120 film.
A rebellion against my last few days of pictures that have sucked.
Finally, something that has some meaning, something that might provoke some thought.
Finally some art.
It's somewhat representational of my life lately.
My car broke down today. It was not fun.
But it gave me time to think, to reflect on life.
Everything happens for a reason, I sat there in my car for a few hours waiting for help to come and I watched the sun set.
I wrote some poetry.
I sketched.
I played dice with the seagulls.
It was relaxing, and honestly I'm glad I got the chance to do it even if it was at the expense of my car, my transportation, and, for a little while, my freedom.
But the lack of freedom to move, something pivotal to a vagrant like me, isn't entirely a bad thing. Perhaps it means I will simply be forced to travel with my mind, to take journeys of the soul, and to create some more photos like this that are surrealistic interpretations of my otherwise grey world.
