So I totally agree with everything Henry said about the photo I posted yesterday...I'm not even sure if it can be called a photo, I hate it, and hated it when I posted it, but I haven't been able to even take my camera out of its bag for the past few days. Life has simply been too busy and I've been forced to dig into the archives for pictures. I probably should have posted this yesterday instead, but I forgot I had even taken it. I caught this little guy or gal on the porch a few days ago, I just wish I had used a smaller aperture, even f/6.0 would've been better then f/4.5, though something like f/9.0 or 10 would've been ideal. I had way too much DOF in this one, and as a result the majority of the bird is out of focus and lacks the little details that could have made this picture good. As is, it's just mediocre, hopefully Monday will see me getting a chance to actually take something new.
And thanks Henry, your last two comments have probably been two of the most useful and I really appreciate the fact that you aren't afraid to tell it as it is. I think too many people fall into the trap of trying to be nice, I'd rather people tell me I suck when I suck and then tell me how to make it better.
