Hi, Paul. I also "adopt" old cameras and have found myself in exactly this position you describe. I was fortunate enough to have a 127 spool left in the camera - the take-up reel is all that matters and you can use 120 film if you develop it yourself to get that spool back. I managed to get some interesting "vintage" winter vistas. Don't give up! :)

I know this feeling - you actually don't own old tings but they sort of accompany their owners until somebody else takes over. Hope you'll own that Yashica one day - I'm sure it's waiting! (BTW: great shot!)

Hi Paul how are you !? :-o This is really cool !! and your looking good too ! :-o
I think you don't need scanner because you made it great work this I really love it.
Sometime people want to perfect more convenience but nothing perfect everything even photography too. You always show us your style, that style is only you and your original :-)
I love film's develop process because that work time is my favorite time it's good fit for my feeling I'm not hurry always. Unfortunately I have no time so I can't enjoy my photo.
Anyway digital process fun too and I want to learn and like this your post mix culture (film/digital) is fun. :-)

Hey welcome back, Paul! I'm looking forward to your film shots. This one looks like looking through a chemically melting window. A cool effect that I can imagine someone working for hours to duplicate in Photoshop.

I've also acquired sort of a collection of film cameras, though I'm kind of too lazy to actually use them. It's more of an investment for now, but I am anxious to try shooting with them. There's something about the experience of shooting with a fully manual camera that digital can never match.

I'm glad you decided to post again. I used to check every now and then so see if you kept up with it, not that I'm doing a very good job myself. But you are right, this is an amazing place to express yourself and show off your amazing talent. Although you've kept me up to date on your changes in photography, I haven't really told you that you're improvement and talent in taking most anything has improved so much. You are more of an expert at this than I am, but I know a good picture when I see one :D

Can't wait until you can help me with my new camera!!!

I like this theme you've got going here, analyzing the concept of abstract photography and showing things without showing them, it's great stuff. I'm looking forward to see where you take this.
